Daily Devotional - In addition to the daily lectionary reading available on the home page, we have added a link to a daily devotional from D365. This is especially geared toward youth, but would be ideal for anyone seeking to jumpstart their day with scripture reading, reflection, and prayer, accompanied by background music.

Harold and Hulda House Scholarship - The application for educational scholarships for members of First Presbyterian Church is now available online. Please mail the completed application to the church office.

Adopt a Ding-A-Ling – The Chancel Ringers will be attending the Area VII Festival Conference in Rochester June 24 – 27.  As might be expected, there are expenses associated with this trip: registration and hotel fees, meal expenses, etc.  Please consider “adopting” a ringer to help defray these costs.  Suggested “adoption fee” is $30.00, but any amount is appreciated. Checks can be brought to the church office.  Adopting a Ding-a-Ling will put a song in your heart!

Easter Flowers - Orders are being taken for Easter flowers to enhance the sanctuary on Easter Sunday. The selection of plants and prices are:

Lilies - $9.00

Daisy Mums - $9.00

Hydrangeas - $13.00

Begonias - $10.00

Azaleas - $10.00

To order, please place an L, M, H, B, or A  in the right hand margin of the Friendship Pad next to your name, or call the church office at 251-8277. Orders need to be placed and payment made (memo: plant) by March 19. Plants may be picked up following Easter services on April 4.

Book Sale – Things are gearing up for the upcoming book sale.  If you have books you’d like to drop off at the church, please leave them in the west entry (5th Avenue entry).

The Health Ministries Committee has been discussing the possibility of establishing some support groups within the church and would like input from congregation members as to what support groups would be of help or interest to them. Please offer your comments to committee members: Adella Espelien, Richard Dorn, Lori Eggers, or Arlene Casey.

Lectern Flowers and Food Baskets – If you’d like to honor someone or have a special memorial during the worship service, please consider providing lectern flowers or a food basket. Contact the church office for details.

Style Show - If anyone is interested in helping to plan the 2010 Style Show, please contact any member of the Fellowship Committee.  You need not join the Fellowship committee!  Just help us plan the Style Show!

ITEBA - read the September 2009 newsletter to learn about the exciting work being done in Brazil. Our church has been very supportive of this mission.

Prayer Call Vine - If you do not have access to a computer or email but would like to be a part of the revitalized Prayer Vine ministry, please call the church office. If you would like to be the initial contact person or perhaps the back-up contact, please let us know.
